Two reasons to arrive early to the French Film Festival screening of Elles tonight: the screenings have been selling out, and Helen Gillet and Gregory Hood’s WAZOZO DUO are performing at 7! More info on the festival here. Film starts at 7:30, at the Prytania!

We know, we know. You’re super excited for tomorrow’s outdoor screening of Tchoupitoulas. So are we!
8:30pm (with live music starting at 7:30!) at the Old US Mint (400 Esplanade Avenue). The directors will be in attendance! General admission $6,member admission $3.
I mean, I guess you could go out to a bar or something, or sit alone at home and watch Jeopardy. (It’s on Fox at 6pm, in case you were wondering.) Or, you know, you could come to Deep South by Suroeste, our super awesome Latino film showcase, featuring seven short films, including not one but two Cannes short film selections. Which, if you ask me, is probably the better Saturday night option. Reception at 6, screening at 6:30, at the CAC. Oh, also? It’s free.
More info here.
You can TiVo Jeopardy.
Though thwarted last week by a particularly malicious turn in the weather, our outdoor screening of the great documentary Tchoupitoulas is BACK ON, this Friday, July 27, at the Old U.S. Mint (400 Esplanade Avenue). There’s live music, it’s $6 ($3 for members!), and it’s going to be great. You’ll be there, obviously. More information here.
